Fellow CSG Members,
Thanks to everyone who attended our May meeting. The minutes are as follows:
Dave Ezell extended sympathy for Brian Rose from United Rentals who recently passed away unexpectedly. Information regarding his services are on CSG’s website.
Our scholarship interviews for University of Central Missouri and Pittsburg State students were completed. Three students from each school received $1,000.00 to apply towards their safety education. Total amount awarded: $6,000.00
The CSG Golf Tournament – proceeds of which support the scholarship fund – will be held on September 19th. We are looking for sponsors and donations to help make this a successful event.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, June 4, 2015.
We will not be having a meeting in July but will be holding our social event at the Well in Waldo. This event went over well last year and we hope you will all participate again. Good food and drinks!!
Tom Ruzicka provided our financial report. Expenditures included funding 6 scholarships and renewing our annual website domain. We received a good amount of dues payments in the past month and our savings and operating budgets are financially stable. For more detailed information, please contact Tom.
Concentra invited everyone to attend a First Friday reception at their clinic on 200 Southwest Boulevard, KCMO on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 5 pm to 7 pm. This reception will take place at the same time as the First Friday event in the Crossroads. You are encouraged to enjoy complimentary parking at Concentra’s medical center and to join Concentra staff for drinks and appetizers before enjoying the Crossroads Art District’s First Friday event.
Don Garvey with 3M was our presenter at the meeting. He provided relevant information regarding infection control during construction and renovation in healthcare facilities and information on biohazards and prevention of biohazard exposure in Waste Water Treatment facilities. Thanks to Cory Rohs for referring Don as a presenter for our meeting.
