Tom Ruzicka thanked everyone for attending and introductions were made around the room.
The Scholarship Committee interviewed students at UCM on March 31, 2016 and 5 scholarships were awarded in the amount of $5,500.00. Pittsburg State scholarship interviews will take place on April 20,2016.
AJ Byrd with the Missouri Department of Transportation was at the meeting representing iBuild. He is requesting volunteers from the CSG to be roamers and to assist in safety orientation for the high school and middle school students that are attending this construction career day event. Cory Rohs announced the ASSE PDC will be held on April 14th and 15th at the Metropolitan Community College Business and Techno Center.
Cory Rohs also announce his company will be sponsoring a 3 day prep class for crane operator certification. Please contact Cory if you are interested.
Tom reminded everyone of the Fall Protection Stand Down which will occur the week of May 2nd through 6th.
Our guest speaker was Chris Farkes with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office who gave a presentation on Emerging Drugs which have gained popularity to circumvent current drug testing. It was a very informative presentation.
